First night of the #Diplomantiq #ChimcheProject was an inspiration. A chimche is a large serving spoon in Iraqi Arabic dialect, similarly the Chimche Project aims to allow us participants to serve information to each other, conduct workshop exercises, share ideas and document our individual and collective progress.
We aim to create regular Chimche events on a monthly basis, starting in Abu Dhabi (UAE), which will be an informal workshop gathering in a relaxed atmosphere. The first introductory event explored the theme of individual and collective progress (New year resolutions included!). We also discussed the paper by C.Philips on identity development and expression through consumption – would the altering of our consumption habits improve our progress in2016? We’ll see…
At every session we start with an empty sheet of paper which we fill with with notes and ideas from our exercises and discussions, and then capture it in a photo along with our immediate belongings to document our process from one session to another, as our very own unique chimché of knowledge.
