Following the success of The Prerequisites workshop in Abu Dhabi, June 2015, Diplomantiq hosted the second Prerequisites workshop in SOAS University, London, on the 27 august 2015 with an awesome group of engaging participants, both students and professionals, who came to learn more about the themes behind the Diplomantiq initiative.
As we did in the first Prerequisites workshop we began with the self, focusing on our presence, our identity and our behaviour – That also includes our consumption habits, social conditioning and perception management.
We then moved to awareness, both as a personal skill and as a concept – Looking at awareness campaigns and how awareness is raised in various levels in society.
Thirdly we discussed narratives and to what extent they are important in shaping our world and our identities.
Finally, these three themes lead to what we ultimately focus on through the Diplomantiq initiative and that is Citizen Diplomacy – the role of the citizen in the progress of society.
